The establishment of the Taiwan Waseda International Foundation is not just an emotional connection, but a responsibility towards the future. Waseda University possesses a profound academic foundation and international influence, while Taiwan boasts industrial strength, innovative resilience, and the ability to connect with the world. Through this foundation, we hope to further integrate resources from academia, industry, and various sectors of society to promote substantive cooperation between Taiwan and Japan in economics, technology, research, and talent exchange.

I have always believed that truly valuable communication lies not in its form, but in its ability to foster long-term trust, accumulate shared experiences, and ultimately transform into concrete outcomes. Moving forward, the Foundation will uphold a spirit of pragmatism, openness, and foresight, deepening cooperative relationships with Waseda University and partners from all sectors. We will continue to promote research, exchange, and public engagement, building a more enduring and solid foundation for Taiwan-Japan cooperation, international development, and the cultivation of future talent.
